It's been a big news day for a Saturday. I could have done all of my posts on just Democrats and liberals going on about President Donald Trump's "illegal war" on Iran. Word is that they've found the remains of Ayatollah Khamenei … and people in Tehran, and Iranians around the world, are celebrating. Others are seething. As we mentioned before, Rep. Rashida Tlaib echoed state propaganda from Iran, and she was very busy on X on Saturday. Here's probably the dumbest thing she said:
You cannot ‘free’ people by killing them and destroying their country.
— Rashida Tlaib (@RashidaTlaib) February 28, 2026
Rashida Tlaib did not post ONCE for the 40,000 Iranians slaughtered by the Islamic Republic.

Not once. https://t.co/TRH2Z2zkOl
The Atlantic is already whining:
Trump has no strategy to help the Iranian people build a legitimate state—in fact, he’s dismantling tools that could have helped promote civic engagement and build a united opposition in Iran, @anneapplebaum argues. https://t.co/SU2BEVef0g

One thing I found funny was how quickly the leaders of the U.K. and Europe let it be known that they had nothing to do with the joint U.S.-Israeli Operation Epic Fury.
🇧🇬🇮🇷 Bulgaria was not involved in the strikes on Iran - confirmed Bulgarian defense minister.

Thank you for the heads up there, I was really confused. I saw all of the precision laser guided weaponry, advanced stealth technology, nuclear powered naval assets and thought to myself "My God, what has Bulgaria done?"

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer shot a video to let the world know that the U.K. also had nothing to do with the operation.
I love when this guy comes out, like he did after our Venezuela strike, to say the UK played no role. NO SHIT. You're a complete nobody on the world stage, WE KNOW. You don't have to keep telling us. https://t.co/FhOy8Dkp8V

One complaint I thought was at least unique was that Trump addressed the nation while wearing a USA cap. This seemed like poor etiquette to journalist Charles Fishman:
The President of the United States wore a baseball cap to announce a sweeping attack against another nation.
— (((Charles Fishman))) 💧 (@cfishman) February 28, 2026
A baseball cap.
Remember the fury at Zelenskyy when he wore a military uniform to the White House?
Yeah. A baseball cap.
Get back to me when he is visiting a foreign leader in their home while wearing one.

The irony of you wearing one in your avi while complaining isn’t lost on me.
Have you perhaps considered crying about it some more, could help.

Cry harder, bitch.

I felt my testosterone level drop slightly after reading this post.

I'm sure that in time and with counseling you'll come to forgive him.

Are you legit with this nonsense?
— Quaran-Tina (@superbucks2050) February 28, 2026
Apparently so. There were plenty of hot takes going around on Saturday, but this one stood out as particularly impressive. A BASEBALL HAT.
