Overstepping the Marx: Hakeem Jeffries Lashes Out at Democrats Who Voted to Condemn Socialism

Nothing shows that the Democrat Party has been captured by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) more than Tuesday’s vote on the House floor to condemn socialism. The condemnation resolution passed the House in a 220-192 vote. Only 8 Democrats sided with the unanimous Republican vote. Two Democrats voted ‘present.’ The resolution mentioned the DSA by name. Oopsie! House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was incensed that two Democrats assisted Republicans in a procedural vote that brought the resolution to the floor.
