Gavin Newsom Press Office Counters White House Post With Pastor Being Hit by Pepper Ball

Twitchy

Last night, I wrote a piece about the new tactic of Antifa and the Antifa-adjacent to make ICE agents look stupid doing their jobs: dress up in inflatable costumes, like a dinosaur or a rainbow unicorn, and dance around. I also included, as a free bonus, the video of a pastor getting nailed by a pepper ball outside the ICE facility in Chicago.

Our own Just Mindy published a post on the incident earlier this evening, indicating that dressing up like a pastor is another tactic to get away with obstruction of federal agents.

I tried to embed the video of the pastor getting nailed in last night's VIP post, but it didn't appear for some reason. So here it is again, courtesy of Gavin Newsom Press Office, who were responding to the White House's post, "BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS."

Hey man, nice shot.

As Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin said, "What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations" and that "Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply."

Someone posted that the collar is not a get-out-of-jail-free card, and as I posted last night, this guy isn't a priest. He's a professional agitator. He's Rev. David Black of First Presbyterian Church, and also went viral with this photo of him getting sprayed.

According to Newsweek yesterday, Black "has joined a sweeping federal lawsuit filed on Tuesday challenging the Trump administration’s response to protests in the city.

"One of the plaintiffs, Rev. David Black, who leads First Presbyterian Church of Chicago, says he was taking part in a prayer vigil outside the Broadview ICE facility when officers opened fire on him without warning."

Yeah, a prayer vigil.

The complaint was brought by the ACLU, who think the First Amendment covers interfering with a federal operation. This guy was told to move out of the way and he didn't move out of the way.

And what is he trying to stop, anyway? The detention of criminal illegals? Child rapists and fentanyl dealers?

He's not a priest.
