Rep. Jamie Raskin Calls Nick Sortor a 'Fascist' and 'QAnon'

C-SPAN

I think every Democrat in the House and Senate has posted a statement or a video talking about the "horrific assault" on a sitting Latino senator. The stunt was better planned than when Rep. Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm — he only had security cameras trained on him, though. Sen. Alex Padilla made sure he just wandered into DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's press conference and thought he could bypass security because he's Sen. Alex Padilla and interrupt a presser.

It reminds me of way back in the day when Hillary Clinton was running for Senate in New York, and her male opponent approached her podium at a debate, asking if she'd sign a pledge to do one thing or another. I remember some likening it to rape. You don't just invade a woman's space like that, unless you're a man who thinks he's a woman.

I'm sure we'll have plenty more coverage of the Padilla stunt Friday, but I wanted to post this bit about Rep. Jamie Raskin, who's just a horrible person. He challenged Donald Trump's electoral votes in Florida and then went on to excoriate "election deniers," sitting on the January 6 select committee to assure us the 2020 election was flawless.

Nick Sortor dared to approach Raskin on Thursday to ask him about Sen. Chris Van Hollen's man-crush, who has been returned to the United States to face charges of human trafficking. You could tell Raskin had no scripted reply, as the best he could do was call Sortor "QAnon" and a fascist.

The post continues:

… HUMANS to Maryland, the state Raskin represents.

He even tried to signal for Capitol Police to come get me, MINUTES AFTER he back Alex Padilla for crashing Kristi Noem’s presser. A liar and a hypocrite too.

And of course, instead of answering the questions, he yelled incoherent blather and found a way to bring up @elonmusk

I hope you get some help, @RepRaskin

I'm actually not a big fan of ambush interviews, but Raskin is such a worm.

A lot of senators are, but since Padilla was hogging all the attention today, I thought I'd give Raskin some exposure. And since it's on X, more people will see it than Raskin's next hit on CNN.

There's so much douchebaggery in Congress.
