'Where You From, Man?' President Biden Asked If He's Abandoning Israel

As I said before, I shocked myself writing posts praising President Joe Biden for his determined stand with Israel in the days following October 7. Even more shocking is writing posts praising Sen. John Fetterman for not buckling under pressure in his support for Israel, while Biden has gone weak in the knees. After Israel "deliberately targeted" and killed seven aid workers from José Andrés' World Central Kitchen. Biden had a call with Benjamin Netanyahu calling for an immediate ceasefire. This Biden:

Yeah, Biden killed seven children with a drone strike in retaliation for the suicide bombing at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan. The Biden administration still considers the Afghanistan pullout a success.

A reporter asked Biden if he was abandoning Israel by making aid conditional on the IDF ensuring no civilian casualties.

Now Axios is reporting Biden as saying "We won't support you":

Barak Ravid reports:

President Biden laid out an ultimatum to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in their call on Thursday: If Israel doesn't change course in Gaza, "we won't be able to support you," he said, according to three sources with knowledge of the call.

Why it matters: Biden didn't specify what a loss of U.S. support would entail and he didn't mention the possibility of stopping weapons shipments to Israel, the sources said. But it was the president's toughest call with Netanyahu since the Oct. 7 attacks — both in tone and in substance.

At the Israeli security cabinet meeting a few hours after the call, Netanyahu mentioned that the White House readout of the call didn't link a ceasefire in Gaza with a release of hostages, the official who attended the meeting said.

The official said that after Israel asked for the White House to clarify what the readout said, the Biden administration made clear both in public and in private that it still thinks a six-week ceasefire needs to take place in return for release of hostages.

Hamas just turned down a six-week ceasefire deal with Israel, demanding the release of practically all Palestinian prisoners and a complete Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza.

Yeah, John Kirby gave a definitive "maybe":

"Both can be true!" He's almost at Karine Jean-Pierre levels of lying.

It's undeniable that Hamas is winning the PR war. Critics of Israel say that it has isolated itself from the rest of the world, which is fine with Israel.

Biden really wants those votes in Michigan.
