We've been assured by New York Times columnist Nick Kristoff that the whole Hunter Biden "scandal" is really the story of the love a father has for his son. The Bulwark agreed, saying "The Biden family has made its choices out of love." And White House adviser Ian Sams said that Joe Biden was on calls with Hunter and his business associates because he loves his son. He also never talked business during those calls, but only discussed the weather.

Hunter Biden's attorney Abbe Lowell made the ridiculous claim on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that the Biden administration's Justice Department is biased against the Biden family.

However, Lowell also made sure to note that Joe Biden has been a supportive father to his son through the worst parts on Hunter's life:

They can't find a shred of evidence that Biden was involved in his son's foreign business affairs … all of those huge checks were just loan repayments.
Even Hunter's lawyer has to stoop to the "loving father" angle to untangle the president from this mess.
So if the Justice Department is so biased against the Bidens, why isn't Hunter serving time right now for felony gun possession?
