New York Times Updates Its Headline on Israeli Strike on Hospital

Twitter

Our own Aaron Walker frequently appends a disclaimer to any of his posts that might not have the latest updates and cautions readers to wait a day before repeating what could be misinformation.

I've done a couple of posts so far Tuesday on a Baptist hospital in Gaza that was reportedly hit by an Israeli airstrike, killing 500 Palestinians: doctors, patients, children. The source for that claim was Hamas. It looks like the New York Times initially reported that it was an Israeli strike to blame, "Palestinians say." Now we have a handful of videos showing a Hamas rocket misfiring and landing in Gaza. As I said, I don't expect Rashida Tlaib to delete her post anytime soon.

Here's the Times:

They're not technically wrong —each side is blaming the other. But the "Israeli airstrike" narrative went out first and has been retweeted the most.

Tlaib will just assume that's Israeli propaganda.

They do realize that the ceasefire they're calling for would force Hamas to stop launching rockets into Israel — is that something they're OK with?
