We’d been assured that we’d be seeing a lot of chaos at the border as Title 42 expired this week and migrants surged into the country. We’ve learned that a least one migrant child (that we know about) has died in U.S. custody. Migrants are given phones and court dates as far off as 2028.
That’s someone else’s problem. President Joe Biden would have been well on his way to his beach house Friday morning except he’d agreed to give the commencement address at Howard University and warn the graduates about the top terror threat in the country, white supremacy.
That speech delayed his trip home for the weekend, but he finally boarded his plane around 4:30.

A lot of salty people in the comments say going home for the weekend is not a “vacation” and everyone does it. But the White House has a full floor dedicated to the president’s residence.
He stayed up late for the WHCA’s “nerd prom” and now this extra day of work. He has to be beat.
