As Twitchy reported earlier, Glenn Greenwald got Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz to admit that he wasn’t looking to see anyone in prison when he posted the federal kidnapping statute to his Twitter feed — he was “just asking questions” about the legality of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flying 50 migrants from Florida to Martha’s Vineyard. Guy’s just curious, you know?
As we reported, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking him to look into whether DeSantis (and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott) could be indicted on kidnapping charges. Plenty of others have already made up their minds, like Keith Olbermann, who’s even looked up the sentencing “per victim.”
A reminder that what @GovRonDeSantis did wasn't a "stunt."
It was kidnapping, and Human Trafficking.
These are federal crimes. The sentence is five years – per victim.

I suspect Keith has an insurance policy that would defend and indemnify him if he gets sued for libel and defamation

It’s pretty hard to claim it’s trafficking or kidnapping when they signed consent forms Keith.

Are the walls closing in on DeSantis now?

So what was it when they removed them from Martha’s Vineyard when they said they wanted to stay?

What is it called when they bussed them to a military base because they decided not to be a sanctuary city after all?

Kinda telling that Keith only worries about human trafficking and kidnapping when he can blame it on GOP. I haven’t heard a peep out of him on the actual stuff.

The comedy stylings of Keith Olbermann.

Riddle me this: how did they get to Florida?

He was just doing what Biden has been doing for 2 years. Moving them to other areas. They just did it in daylight, where Biden was sneaking the planes in under the cover of night.

So it was kidnapping and human trafficking, for sure. As far as actual human trafficking at the border is concerned, we’ll just have to wonder if Olbermann is at all concerned.
