As we reported Friday, after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin sent out a statement promising to do all he can to protect the reproductive freedom of U.S. troops. Not to be overlooked, Attorney General Merrick Garland said that the Justice Department would use every tool at its disposal to protect reproductive freedom.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Garland: Justice Department to 'use every tool at our disposal to protect reproductive freedom' after high court ruling.

Way too many members of the Biden administration are weighing in on the Dobbs ruling.
Pretty sure the role of the DOJ is to uphold the law and accept the rulings of the SCOTUS.

Does the Justice Department not fall under the decisions of the Supreme Court?
— Alan Powell (@Msgtpowell) June 24, 2022
Is Garland putting himself above the Supreme Court?
— Craig Zimmerman (@craigzimmerman6) June 24, 2022
Garland, of all people should know that he has no power on this one. It is up to the individual states. Period.

There is no such thing

He's back?

Garland wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice so this is his revenge.

Yeah, he’s a real moderate.

This is the role of our DOJ? They can’t uphold current laws like federal immigration laws or laws protecting Supreme Court justices, so they’re getting out of legal issues altogether now?
— John Strom (@JohnStrom64) June 24, 2022
Not to protect the justices being threatened. Amazing.

If this was Trump’s Justice Dept, there would be mass hysteria and the media would be talking about it non-stop for months, years even.
— Christian McCuen (@cmccuen) June 24, 2022
We can’t even imagine.
If a Republican AG did this Democrats and some in the media would refer to this as “insurrection.”
— Chris Pritt (@pritt4thepeople) June 24, 2022
Does that sound subversive ?

Seditious
— Gun Shot Wound, Tactical Accountant (@GSWIndiana) June 24, 2022
Sounds very insurrection-y.

It does, doesn’t it? Now Garland has three things on his plate: parents of schoolchildren, January 6 trespassers, and pro-lifers.
