As you probably heard, Elon Musk tweeted this week that this next election is the first one in which he’ll be voting Republican. He said in the past he’d voted Democrat, thinking they were the “kindness” party: “Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold …” he added, along with a popcorn emoji.
Newsweek has a piece out Thursday reporting that Musk was compared to MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, whose loyalty to Donald Trump and belief that the election was rigged inspired David Hogg to start his competing progressive pillow company, GoodPillow, which crashed and burned before it even started.
Newsweek reported that Musk’s tweet “prompted an array of responses on social media.” This guy got three whole likes:
Is Elon Musk the next Mike Lindell?

But there were some big-league names in there too getting in on the action.
Poor Elon Musk wants to buy Twitter to make Liberals stop calling him the new Mike Lindell. 🤣🤣🤣

So @ElonMusk is just Mike Lindell with a DIFFERENT amateur haircut? https://t.co/yIpo2pNQQS

Wow, such a severe burn. Elon Musk is the new Mike Lindell because he said he’d be voting Republican.
The best part, though: “Newsweek reached out to Tesla for comment from Musk.” He’s probably too busy crying into wads of hundred-dollar bills to reply.

Musk said he knew the hit pieces would be coming, but could he have suspected they’d be this fast and furious?
