As Twitchy reported earlier, the Washington Free Beacon actually went out and collected some of those “safe smoking kits” that the White House and several fact-checkers assured us did not contain crack pipes and found out that they indeed contained crack pipes. The Free Beacon’s tweet was even retweeted by the Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler, who’d previously written for his paper an analysis entitled, “Viral article that unleased ‘crack pipe’ firestorm relied on assumptions.” No one was expecting an apology from Kessler, but Media Matters for America CEO Angelo Carusone wants more than an apology — he wants Kessler terminated for retweeting a “partisan” source like the Free Beacon.

So he doesn’t address at all the fact that the kits contain crack pipes, only that Kessler retweeted the Free Beacon. Someone didn’t get their crack pipe.
