This is pretty rich. Now that Elon Musk has purchased Twitter, Jen Psaki assures us that President Joe Biden has “long been concerned” about the power of large social media platforms and believes tech platforms must be held accountable for the harms they cause. OK, who’s going to hold Twitter (and Facebook) accountable for suppressing the New York Post’s scoop on Hunter Biden’s laptop and all of the emails on it? That did some damage to the Post, which was locked out of its Twitter account for six weeks because it wouldn’t take down the story, which was not Russian disinformation as John Brennan, James Clapper, and Leon Panetta all attested. Biden is damn grateful to Twitter for shutting down that story, or should be.

He didn’t mind when Twitter was suspending accounts like mine for sharing legitimate reporting from NYP on his son. https://t.co/Cs7KZgOU9J

The Democrats’ big argument is that January 6 was planned on social media, and that’s why there have to be such restrictions on what can be posted (and why Donald Trump isn’t allowed on Twitter).
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Sooo, they should also be held accountable for interfering with the 2020 election?

Long held belief since about four hours ago.

Interesting. I distinctly remember the White House inviting TikTok influencers to a special briefing on Russia/Ukraine… guess they’re not that concerned…

Very good point.
Now they want to regulate it.

Gee, I don’t remember him being concerned until about 3 hours ago. Hmmmmm..

So odd he's never said anything about it before… or his press secretary. They must be pretty scared.

How long before the WH and Dems start a congressional hearing on the dangers of Twitter?

So this is a long-held belief of Biden. Right.
