In Comfortably Smug’s next #HackMadness tournament, there should be a match-up between Matthew Dowd and David French to determine which of them throws around Christianity more as an excuse for reasoned argument. Which is more self-righteous? Frankly, our money’s on Dowd. During the same show in which Nicolle Wallace drew a line from Glenn Youngkin and Ron DeSantis to Russian soldiers raping children, Dowd did his “if Jesus Christ were alive today” shtick. If Jesus were alive today, he’d be called a socialist, woke, and a groomer. We just wrote in a recent post how much the “groomer” label has stuck with the Left — they really, really don’t like it. Go ahead and call them woke, but don’t call them groomers.

If Jesus Christ were alive today, he'd be blocked by Matthew Dowd on Twitter.

Truth.
In the Roman era, they had actual child brothels, and accordingly, Jesus spoke explicitly about valuing Children and protecting their innocence.
So no, I think the people with the child brothels would be called groomers, not Jesus. https://t.co/oMZn16XT8S https://t.co/MiPQW6EUt3

I can’t find in the Bible where Jesus introduced gender identity choices to 7 year olds while he had the children gathered at his feet

I must have missed the part where the disciples were little kids and Jesus talked about sex with them.

If MSNBC worked as hard on doing real journalism and reporting, as it does in finding stupid guests for their programs, they might be respectable.

That's a weird way to say you know absolutely nothing about the Catholic faith that you claim to have.

This man also said the best Catholics he knows are atheists. Very troubled individual. He needs prayers.

"Jesus hung around with prostitutes" is signal enough. This is groomer language. Christ accepted those who renounced their sins and followed him, not those who held their sins up as a banner to replace the void where personality should be.

Uhm… Jesus *is* alive. pic.twitter.com/CSxvSb8tCI

If this guy was actually Christian he wouldn’t talk about Jesus being alive in the past tense

Like I'm not a huge fan of Catholicism but there is just so much wrong with what he just said. I don't even know where to begin

This entire episode of “Deadline: White House” should be preserved in a museum somewhere to always remind us that the media can always go lower.
