CNN's John Harwood notes how many senators from former Confederate states voted no on Ketanji Brown Jackson

As Twitchy reported earlier, as Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the Senate, NBC News’ Yamiche Alcindor was troubled by an “unsettling development” — Sen. Rand Paul arrived late and voted “no,” which Alcindor said reminded her of (fake) conversations she’d had with black women “who say they’ve had to navigate hurdles … indignities in order to achieve what they want.” We can always count on Alcindor to add “context” to her reporting.

CNN’s John Harwood went back to Thurgood Marshall — skipping right past Clarence Thomas — to compare how many senators from former Confederate states voted “no” on Jackson’s confirmation, apparently trying to prove that the South has gone backward in terms of racism.

His followers are eating it up, though, as proof that the South is more racist today than it was in 1967. Just look at the numbers — there’s your proof.
