Comfortably Smug’s annual #HackMadness is so big it was picked up by Fox News in 2020, when CNN’s Brian Stelter managed to eke out a win over the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin. There was an upset last year, when Rubin beat Stelter to take the trophy. Now the third annual #HackMadness bracket is out. Can anyone upset Stelter or Rubin?

Our very first match takes place in the Establishment division
For the right to play in the tournament and the 16 seed

Good to see @JRubinBlogger seeded at #1 in her bracket. I predict her to win it all.

Stelter and Nicole Hannah Jones is a potential final matchup of absolute titans
— Tired Dad (@devianthamster) March 15, 2022
There’s zero point in doing this. @JRubinBlogger is unstoppable. A juggernaut and this is over before it starts.

There are at least 24 future Hall of Famers in this tournament. I mean, we’re looking at enough to fill up half the Dan Rather wing of the building. Hang a couple from the ceiling maybe.

Wajat Ali gets no respect with a 16th seed. He has been posting great stuff this year and deserved a higher spot!

@reedgalen His pinned tweet is damn near good enough to win it all, this is a stacked field. He’s in it to win it

@brianstelter finally achieving a high ranking in something is huge for him

Jen Rubin or the field?

John Harwood is such a glaring oversight on the part of the committee

@JonahDispatch is a 4 seed 😂

Toobin is going to single-handedly spank everyone in that region. Strap in it’s about to get hairy.

Rubin should lose in the 1st round. Ali has been that good. Egregious mis-seeding.
Olbermann should be a lock for the Final Four. Amazing year for him.
— whyamihere_1 (@whyamihere_1) March 15, 2022
Olbermann does bring a strong resume to the table for this past year. I predict him to go deep in this as well

Yamiche v Reid is an intriguing 8-9 matchup. And Sykes at a 12-seed could pull an upset.
— Coder, A CoderDyne Account (@CoderInCrisis) March 15, 2022
The old favorites are still strong, but Brian Stelter has been a little quiet in the off season. We'll see what he brings to the playoffs
— JimFishes3 (@JimFishes3) March 15, 2022
Gonna be real hard to beat Joy Reid this year.
— ArchLobster 🇪🇨 🇺🇸 (@ArchLobster) March 15, 2022
This is a brutal bracket. It's amazing the number of people in it that were conservatives but became traitors.

We still think Jennifer Rubin has what it takes. We’ll report back on the champion in a few weeks.
