We’d swear that Ian Millhiser used to be Vox’s judicial correspondent, but now he’s just listed as a senior correspondent in his Twitter bio. It’s just as well, because he’s always posting about how we should abolish the Supreme Court and the Senate. Seriously, it’s just sad:
Today would be a good day to abolish the Senate.

Today is a good day to abolish the Senate.

Today is a good day to abolish the Senate.
— Ian Millhiser (@imillhiser) December 20, 2021
Why? Because President Biden’s bloated Build Back Better bill is being held up by Sen. Joe Manchin. But Millhiser is also not a fan of the Supreme Court, and he shared his deep thoughts on how it sounds like a conspiracy theory:
The idea that there’s this unelected tribunal of nine people in black robes, and they get to interpret a vague document to veto any law, sounds like a conspiracy theory.
— Ian Millhiser (@imillhiser) December 22, 2021
If it's any consolation, sometimes they create a law where none existed.
Hope that helps, Ian. https://t.co/o7uSR7PvUP

love when liberals accidentally come around to the longtime conservative positions that judges shouldn’t make laws https://t.co/q8aVbbGDWn

Good to see Vox coming around to conservatives’ longstanding criticisms of Marbury v. Madison.
Must be a Festivus miracle! Or else they’re getting rulings they don’t like… https://t.co/TOSQmWJbjg

I know, right? Roe v. Wade really was the worst. https://t.co/8U5o7akrZ1
— John Gerardi (@fresnojohnny) December 22, 2021
This is a direct argument for originalism and against legislating from the bench that gave us Roe. Amazing how Ian doesn’t even realize what he just did here. https://t.co/YpfU9NONLt

A little surprised to hear Ian speak so forcefully for overruling Roe v Wade and other made up legal precedents, but welcome to the team! https://t.co/MO0gPcW0Up

I bet you'd go for another 4 unelected justices added to the tribunal, wouldn't you? Provided they had the correct mind think, of course. https://t.co/o7uSR7PvUP
— BayAreaFrau (@bayareahausfrau) December 22, 2021
So Ian wants to abolish the Senate and the Judiciary. Probably easier at this point for him to tell us which parts of the government he’d like to keep. You know, to save democracy and some such. https://t.co/sLqlZX6DlF
— Bonchie (@bonchieredstate) December 22, 2021
Monday, the Senate. Wednesday, SCOTUS. By end of the week, Ian will have abolished the entire federal government.
Welcome to the libertarian movement, my man. https://t.co/uVWCTILkkD

Now this clown is going after SCOTUS.
Apparently his dream government is an unaccountable House of Reps making laws carried out by an unaccountable President. https://t.co/hOhDb4ItFU

So now Ian hates SCOTUS too. Anything else you would like to abolish or change, Ian? https://t.co/DmXJGgZA7n
— Christmas Kate (@kilomikealpha77) December 22, 2021
Probably the Electoral College.

Ian, it’s obvious you don’t like our country. You complain about our basic make-up 24/7. Maybe you should consider a country that more aligns with your idealism? https://t.co/TxwseSVZKO
