Brooklyn Center mayor doesn't believe police necessarily need a weapon every time they make a traffic stop

Our jobs are easy — we can’t imagine pulling someone over and walking up to the driver’s side window, several times a night. You have no idea what you’re going to encounter. After the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright, though, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Mayor Mike Elliot announced that he doesn’t believe police officers necessarily need a weapon every time they make a traffic stop.

The mayor should definitely go on some ride-alongs and tap on a few car windows.
