Protect the whistleblower? ABC reportedly 'scrambling' to find the Amy Robach leaker

That ABC News apparently sat on a story about Jeffrey Epstein for three years is bad enough, but then it appeared CBS fired the wrong person after coordinating with ABC. As Yashar Ali reported after interviewing her, “It’s really important to remind folks that Ashley Bianco was not fired by CBS News for leaking the footage of Amy Robach to Project Veritas. No one at either network knows who did that.”

ABC News had determined that Bianco accessed the footage of Robach, but that’s all.

Now the New York Post’s Page Six is reporting that ABC is scrambling to figure out the identity of the Amy Robach leaker. Usually, they’d get an assist from the rest of the mainstream media, who can track down a forklift operator who posted a meme of Nancy Pelosi or the kid who made a GIF of Trump wrestling the CNN logo, but it looks like ABC is on its own this time.

Page Six reports:

ABC bigwigs are going potty to find the identity of the leaker behind the Amy Robach tape — after the alleged source posted a letter online slamming the network under the name “Ignotus,” a wizard from the “Harry Potter” franchise.

After junior producer Ashley Bianco denied leaking the tape, on which the anchor complained ABC News killed her interview with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre, someone purporting to be the actual leaker and still working at the network posted a letter on Project Veritas blasting ABC’s “mission of seek and destroy” to conjure up the mysterious mole.

But we thought whistleblowers were to be kept anonymous and regarded as heroes.
