There were reports out of Chicago earlier today that Customs and Border Patrol had detained three children who are U.S. citizens, which brought protesters to the airport and outrage on Twitter.
The girls are age 9, 10, and 13. They are US Citizens.
Customs & Border Protection had been holding them at O'Hare Airport since 3AM.
Reports now that they were just released after protesters showed up at the terminal with signs: "Let the Children Go"https://t.co/53HZnbVscN

CBP is reportedly detaining 3 US citizen children in Chicago to get their non-citizen parents to come forward. We need to know more about this. It sounds both illegal & precariously close to tactics fascist dictators use, if true. https://t.co/4mhFTMHcD4

So, “reportedly,” Border Patrol agents were keeping American children hostage to bring their illegal parents out of hiding. CBP says otherwise:
There are false reports circulating that CBP is detaining 3 US citizen children at O’Hare. The children arrived with a Mexican citizen that was deemed inadmissible. By law, they could only be released to a parent/legal guardian. Their mother has picked them up without incident.

So they were kept at the airport until their mom came and picked them up? So it wasn’t a tactic used by fascist dictators?

She is now trying to take credit for the release to the parents, as if she had a hand in it.
— Perfumed Icepick (@this_toxic) July 18, 2019
Obviously they were being held bc a child has to be released to their guardian. Does this idiot think they should just be released onto the street??

And they never print a retraction or correction ever

She’s busy patting herself on the back for having “helped” unite the children with their mother.
— Fresh (@FreshAiracle) July 18, 2019
No, seriously:
.@johnvmoore was nice enough to give this update that indicates the kids were released to their Mom. No word on whether anyone else was taken into custody. When we pay attention we can help. https://t.co/c7HBNlt7hY

“Thanks for signal boosting.” Hey, whatever she could do to help.
Look at the foul way she describes the incident. This is not a journalist, but rather a radical activist with a political agenda.

Hey @Twitter, how come every time I report a tweet that is spreading deliberate lies to promote violence against police, military or border patrol, there's multiple tweets reported yet the account it still up?
— SummerShine (@SilverSummerSun) July 18, 2019
She leaves up the original tweet..typical..
