Spoilers ahead!
We’ve already done a couple of posts on Sunday night’s episode of “Game of Thrones,” and, as Twitchy reported, a lot of blue-check feminists were really unhappy about Daenerys Targaryen’s transformation into the Mad Queen and her burning of Kings Landing.
In a (now-deleted) tweet, Jessica Valenti argued that the only way the writers could have made the episode more sexist was to have Daenerys on her period. This tweet is a good example of what had women so upset:
I'm still trying to process that we have moved from the women being badasses to the women either going mad or becoming weepy messes. Because THAT IS NOT OK in the year of our lord two thousand nineteen.

It seems the episode didn’t sit well with the folks over at The New Republic either. Check out this scorching take:
The moral, apparently, of #GameofThrones is that women are guilty of all the worst things: Violence, impetuosity, vanity, and overreaction. #MadQueen #GOTS8E5 https://t.co/KC8NnOZZRr

And your point is …?
Well, they are.

Well, yeah. #Equality

You mean, women are capable of human emotion? What a message
— Skysky (@Skysky96362722) May 13, 2019
Not just human emotion … “male” emotion.
Yes, because none of the men in the show are guilty of any of those things.

Yep. And their depravity stands in stark contrast (pardon the pun), to the men of Westeros, who are morally infallible, without exception.

Equality means women should get to be more equal than men.

Sorry if this shocking claim about women means you have to get that Daenerys Targaryen tattoo removed.
Well, we are kind of the worst, sometimes.

For context, I went to an all-girls Catholic school for 13 years, and I can tell you that we are guilty of those things and then some.
