Honestly, we’re only doing this post because it’s another REPUBLICANS POUNCE job, or at least that’s how the New York Times is framing it. Ken Vogel of the Times reports that the Bidens are all tied up in a Ukrainian corruption scandal:
NEW: The BIDENS are entangled in a Ukrainian corruption scandal:@JoeBiden pushed Ukraine to fire a prosecutor seen as corrupt.
BUT the prosecutor had opened a case into a company that was paying HUNTER BIDEN.
The Bidens say they never discussed it. https://t.co/tblUPYPJMG— Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) May 2, 2019
HUNTER BIDEN's partners recruited firms to diffuse Ukrainian investigations into an oligarch whose company was paying Hunter Biden $50k/month.
The cases were closed in 2017, but now they've been reopened.@JoeBiden's campaign says it's a political attack. https://t.co/tblUPYPJMG— Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) May 2, 2019
Stop crying, dude: Donald Trump’s campaign is still under political attack, and he’s been president for two years now.
For 5 years, HUNTER BIDEN was on the board of a gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch accused of enriching himself using his position in the Russia-aligned YANUKOVYCH gov't.
BIDEN stepped down last month, as his dad was preparing to run for president. https://t.co/tblUPYPJMG— Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) May 2, 2019
Again, the part that interests us most is the Times’ headline in the tweet: “Biden Faces Conflict of Interest Questions That Are Being Promoted by Trump and Allies.” What does that have to do with the story, other than the fact that the Times is afraid now they’ll actually have to cover it?
I’m wearing my finest pouncing attire, ready to pounce away

Like the "Republicans pounce" genre generally, outlets like the NYT constantly frame stories so as to suggest the one of America's two major parties is not allowed to attack the other. https://t.co/XBFjoXRKlz
— Just Karl (@justkarl) May 2, 2019
It's also a nice way for the NYT et al to signal to their left-leaning readership that the subject is to be dismissed.
— Just Karl (@justkarl) May 2, 2019
It's become a cliche to talk about How We Got Trump, but when elites constantly apply a double standard (or simply play calvinball) in so obvious a fashion, it should be no mystery why Trump has been able to shape a coalition around hating the MSM.
— Just Karl (@justkarl) May 2, 2019
But this happened in 2014, you know, the era of no scandals, so not sure why it’s important now. https://t.co/9m3Q7vF84e

I thought he was scandal free?
— Las Mark (@LasMark) May 2, 2019
Why are so many politicians mixed up with Ukraine???
— TOZO (@tozo) May 2, 2019
Ask Hillary.
Big surprise there.

Justifiable questions.

Looks like Joe has some more explaining to do. And it's only been a week. Oh yeah what about no whisper of any scandals, sounds like they're shouting now.
— Rich Jones (@rjones138) May 2, 2019
This is a real scandal. I'm assuming Biden's been prepped on how to answer to this (?).

Appoint Special Counsel ASAP

So even though there's proof of collusion, he says there's no collusion. Lololol

He’s not going to make it through this unscathed. Disaster ahoy!

They are slowly catching up to “Uncle Joe”, don’t think it will end well ???
— Ga Dirtdog (@GaDirtDog) May 2, 2019
This has been known for YEARS. Why everybody just wakin' up?

It's not NEW….only to the liberal press it is
— Not vegan (@Meatrecruiter) May 2, 2019
Biden’s on video years ago bragging about withholding US aide from Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor looking into Hunter’s company…at least you’re finally writing about this whole thing lol better late than never

I'm glad this is getting mainstream play. cc@dbongino

How is this an "entanglement"? Your story states: "No evidence has surfaced that the former vice president intentionally tried to benefit his son." ?
— (((Kenneth Zauderer))) (@kenzauderer) May 2, 2019
No evidence? Why would that stop The New York Times from reporting on it?
