Journalist and photographer Andy Ngo, who has done some excellent work shining a light on the extreme leftist thugs of Antifa and their violent tendencies, appeared Wednesday with Ben Shapiro and Sally Kohn on “The Dr. Phil Show” to discuss Jussie Smollett and hate crime hoaxes.
On the @DrPhil show, a guest shared why she lied to police about details of her alleged hate attack by Trump supporters. She blamed police for dismissing the true parts of her story. I called her out. Watch: https://t.co/HFdJxZfh4E cc: @benshapiro @sallykohn pic.twitter.com/1s3xlzjbt0

Why do people fabricate hate hoaxes? Why wouldn't they? I explain on @DrPhil show how many hate hoaxers don't even think they are doing something wrong, believing it "sparks" a conversation. Watch: https://t.co/kmOWObaBHb cc: @benshapiro @sallykohn pic.twitter.com/st3q9axUDb

It sparks a conversation that drives Sally Kohn a little nutty, but that was no surprise.
Thanks to @TheDrPhilShow for having me BUT let me say here what wasn't in edited clip
* 99.7% of reported hate crimes are verified
* Upwards of 97% of hate crimes are never reported
* We don't know what happened to Jussie. We do know too many victims are ignored. Or worse. https://t.co/x2WZy7cneD

“We don’t know what happened to Jussie” … she’s still going with that? It’s a bold strategy, Cotton …
Ms. Kohn, you kept repeating that first figure on the show & I didn’t say anything at the time because I wanted to be kind. That number was from a Vice writer who is bad at math & with flawed logic. She divided investigated & confirmed hate hoaxes over ALL reported ACCUSATIONS. https://t.co/f73igbSyA5

Uh, no. That statistic comes from the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University at San Bernardinohttps://t.co/vAaTYPtFPR
— Sally Kohn (@sallykohn) February 27, 2019
Are they as reliable at tracking hate groups and hate speech as the SPLC? Let’s hope not. Anyway, that’s probably where the VICE writer got her statistics. Hey wait, it is:
The Vice article got it from the same source (Brian Levin, formerly of the SPLC). It’s an insanely flawed methodology for reason stated above & even that center says on its own site that it takes “no responsibility” for the “accuracy of the data.”

It’s one of those extrapolated statistics that can’t be proved. I don’t think it’s a fact.

Wait a minute here. According to this dim bulb, Sally Kohn, we’re supposed to look beyond hate crime hoaxes in order to acknowledge that hate exists? That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard! Who hasn’t known that for the last 5,000 years?
— RichD (@RichardDymond3) February 27, 2019
Sally Kohn needs a fact checker attached to her mouth. Are we supposed to take her off handed statistics at face value?
I will also never get that shrill, elevated tone out of my ears. My tinnitus is scared to come out now. Thanks Sally.— Gib (@Gibstra) February 27, 2019
On the side of a narrative… Is she kidding?! We're not on the side of a narrative. We're on the side of justice and truth. Narratives have mattered to certain accusers, but the rest of us aren't playing games w/people's lives.

There's that truth exposing itself again..

@benshapiro ‘s answer here is the shut down of all shut downs. Brilliant!
— David Schroeder (@dreamspace2) February 27, 2019
Respect Andy! First person I have seen on TV who actually speaks about the real victims the people who are falsely accused of fake hate crimes.
— Deo et patriae (@DeusVult45) February 27, 2019
.@DrPhil the non-critical-thinker's holy man, is here to tell the mid-class-mass that faking crimes to make white people look bad is really just a symptom of "white people being "oppressors"".
Why do any people continue to swallow the establishment's bigoted manipulative swill?
— Your Culture (@JoelJHughes) February 27, 2019
Or, gaslighting Whitey for fun, profit and political advantage…
— Unexpurgated (@Unexpurgated11) February 27, 2019
the media fell all over themselves to report on the alleged hate crime of jussie smollett but of course @sallykohn and others continue gaslighting us into believing the media doesn't report hate crimes. it's enough already.
— Matt (@MatthewGalanty) February 27, 2019
Hell, how many times have we covered reports on this site of nooses being found at universities only to find out the scare was over a packaged shoelace or hooks for paper lanterns or a lightning cable ripped out of place after a tree limb fell. All of those made news. And then the campuses go on lockdown and they bring in counselors to remind students they’re in a safe space.
its becoming a trend, they do it for attention to get publicity for fame and money, these hoaxes have nothing to do with them feeling a victim, they do it because they are deceitfull scumbags thats ruining it for genuine victims.

Better question: why isn't the punishment for hoaxing a hate crime more serious?
