Who's 'we'? Richard Lewis wants to know 'who the f**k we've become' after 7-year-old migrant dies

As we wrote earlier, we knew the moment that first incendiary (and light on facts) tweet popped up from the Washington Post announcing that a 7-year-old had died in CBP custody that the majority of people would stop reading right there, blame who they’ve been conditioned to blame, and post things like this:

God bless this little saint, indeed. But as terrible a story as it is — and it is terrible — there are a lot of people who ask that Lewis et al. leave “we” out of it.

No, we didn’t. Like CNN reported in its timeline, “we” revived her twice after her father signed a form saying she was healthy. “We” airlifted her to a hospital in El Paso and “we” managed to revive her a third time before she succumbed to septic shock. A lot of people are heartsick about this, and angry that her father allowed her to starve and dehydrate.

“We”? We are not the ones who dragged this little girl on a dangerous 2 month trek. Her father did. He put her in harms way. He did not report she was sick for 7 hours. Very sad, but she was his responsibility.

Do facts even matter to you? How did "WE" cause this? Father drags kid on multi-thousand mile journey with little food and water; signs form saying kid is okay; turns down food and water before being transported. And somehow that is "OUR" fault? Child abuse, plain and simple.

"We" didn't drag a kid across Mexico thorough the desert for days without food or water.

It takes several days without water to die of dehydration that causes organ failure and sepsis kills you.

Her father did that.
He made that happen.

No food or water for DAYS prior to entering the US on her death bed. Border security did their best to keep her alive, but the father's negligence left the poor little girl in a state of complete disrepair, but of course the left refuses to let a tragedy go to waste.

It's awful she died but I blame the 'parent' who snuck her in illegally. She was already dehydrated and starving when taken into custody. She would have died FASTER if she hadn't been taken in.
