First, the sad news: one U.S. service member was killed in Afghanistan Saturday, although the person’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Federalist contributor and host of “The Jesse Kelly Show” Jesse Kelly thinks he knows a way President Trump could get re-elected in 2020 in a Reagan-like landslide; see if you agree:
Hey @realDonaldTrump, want to get re-elected with the biggest landslide since Reagan? Get us out of Afghanistan. Not a single other American should die in that place. https://t.co/LyWsQOQGJV

Honestly? We’d think the media would have to give Afghanistan wall-to-wall coverage to put this on voters’ radar, but if you’ve read social media lately, you’d know the media’s big outrage is that President Trump hasn’t visited any active combat zones. Progressive Democrats don’t give a damn about Afghanistan anymore now that it’s Trump’s problem; they’ll never vote for him.
But what do you say? Pull out of Afghanistan altogether?

What a nightmare

I agree….I was one of the first people in there in November 2001. My oldest son was 7 at the time. Now he is heading over there. He's 24. Enough is enough. What are we even trying to Accomplish at this point?
— Denny Butcher (@butch72_07) November 24, 2018
That’s amazing; there are generations fighting over there.
Agreed. We've reached the point of diminishing returns. We're only wasting lives and money there. As the famous Ms. Ripley said: "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

Then glass it.

I wish we weren’t there as much as anyone. But do you remember what happened last time we left before the job was done? Isis?
— Bowen (@JonnyBoGermany) November 24, 2018
The job will never be done, that's the point. It's an endless war.

America will never leave Afghanistan – no US President will be willing to risk its resources falling into the hands of China or Russia.

While this isn't true of my Twitter circle, I don't think the public cares enough about Afghanistan for pulling out to move the needle.
Pulling out and then spending a year watching the Taliban murder innocent civilians and reimpose religious law, on the other hand, would hurt. https://t.co/v1SfKxiIJq

Remember back in 2007 when running for office Obama promised he'd have the troops home in 18 months? I remember it.

What? Obama ended Bush’s war in like 2009! [Checks stats on what % of US Afghanistan casualties were under Obama]. Uh, holy shit.

True story …
Not really, if Trump does it, the Left will hate it and say we need to stay there….
— EXTRAordinaryPundit (@faiburns) November 24, 2018
Yeah, Trump would just want to put them to work at home guarding our borders.
