As Twitchy reported, Hugh Hewitt has been called a hypocrite by both CNBC’s John Harwood and Resistance doctor Eugene Gu (alias Mary Laury, M.D.) for his not at all contradictory comments that Republicans were under no obligation to vote on SCOTUS nominee Merrick Garland and that Brett Kavanaugh should receive due process.
Progressives just can’t get Merrick Garland out of their heads, and Hewitt sees no problem with that.
The incantation of “Merrick Garland” is a cult-like reflex, telegraphing a child’s grasp of Constitutional structure, and a slavish devotion to left wing Democratic talking points. But keep at it. It worked so well in 2016.

Merrick Garland.

Oh yeah — Merrick. Garland.

Another reason why @SouthPark needs a character that just walks around muttering "Merrick Garland" to everything that happens.

It's up there with popular vote.

Clearly my guy Hugh is getting tired of the many people who are running their mouths about this without the first clue what they're talking about… https://t.co/C08Nkf53bb

This. Couldn’t have said it better myself, been trying to find the perfect spiel for these chants and this is it https://t.co/CWg3UZUYRI

No one in the GOP besmirched Judge Garlands reputation out of spite. The reason he was not confirmed is because it was a Presidential election year, Obama was leaving, and it was proper to postpone it to allow whomever was chosen by the people to appoint the next SC Justice. https://t.co/SSmfr0wuD5

At some point, a frustrated conservative is going comb through Merrick Garland’s life to find an event that would marginally have disqualified him for SCOTUS. That will be a sad and horrible day because Judge Garland won’t deserve it.

No they wouldn't. Conservatives don't do that type of thing. That is what libs do

It’s not a principled stand, it’s a tantrum.
They want revenge for Garland because they never considered Hillary could lose

And if they keep it up, it’s going to work wonders in 2018.

Here’s some bonus truth from Hewitt courtesy of a tweet by Byron York:
Clever maneuver from Ford team: Senate Judiciary Committee rules require consent of the minority for chairman to schedule a hearing with less than one week notice. So now, without Dem consent, earliest hearing could be is next Thursday. https://t.co/gqcs3SUI9e pic.twitter.com/aaRw3BE3ZS

Response should be: “We welcome your client’s testimony’s, and will guarantee her safety and her choice of closed or an open appearance, but it will be Monday or not at all. Please contact me at the confidential address provided to make arrangements and not through the press.” https://t.co/CBc1GM4skU
