The Associated Press reports that the bill had been assigned to three committees but was not scheduled for a hearing; Democratic Rep. Kionne McGhee asked for a procedural move that would allow the bill to be considered.
Republicans in Florida State House won't even debate banning AR-15s. Why? Because they value the NRA over the lives of your children https://t.co/MCWIKgENpQ

In case you were thinking the Republican party might do something about gun violence. They won't. No matter what. No matter how many people die. https://t.co/88ZTSS2MdP

This is a clear message to the children of Florida. Now you know who is responsible for the slaughter in your hallways and classrooms. The shooter had accomplices and they're in your legislature. https://t.co/tRkpW3cLw1

That's a huge slap in the face to a bunch of grieving teenagers. Sadly, this image could be the best mailer to districts of everyone who voted down banning assault weapons. https://t.co/vDHSQuDWMV

Is it wrong that we’re relieved it takes more than a few grieving teenagers in the gallery to overturn a constitutionally protected right?
