People more woke than HuffPost reporter explain why attention to Ted Cruz porn thing isn't 'deeply dumb'

As some predicted, the resignation of Seattle’s mayor over a growing pile of child sex abuse allegations turned out to a short-lived news story, while a “like” for a porn account on Sen. Ted Cruz’s Twitter feed enjoyed a second day of coverage Wednesday, to the point where CNN’s Dana Bash asked Cruz about sex toys during a sit-down interview.

In a moment of clarity, HuffPost reporter Elise Foley noted that the attention being given to Cruz’s Twitter feed was deeply dumb.

But was Foley correct in her assessment? Or does a “like” really deserve two or more days of media coverage? It does if the senator in question is a Republican, unlike the mayor of Seattle.

Someone please explain that to Jimmy Kimmel using small words, please.

Ah, so if you’re not in the “family values” party and a younger cousin accuses you, a city mayor, of sexually molesting him as a child, there’s no hypocrisy and no story. Got it.

Yeah, keep up the insightful reporting, CNN and company.
