Mother of two, 20, sentenced for role in death of teen stabbed 153 times by MS-13 gang members

CBS Baltimore reported Wednesday night that a judge had sentenced a 20-year-old mother of two to 40 years in prison for her part in the fatal stabbing of landscaper Christian Villagran Morales, 18, last year.

Vanessa Alvarado, who was born in Montgomery County, Maryland, was accused of luring Morales to a park in Gaithersburg last June for a sexual encounter; instead, he was ambushed by a group of MS-13 gang members, who stabbed him 153 times for allegedly belonging to a rival gang.

The other suspects were “recent arrivals to the United States.” The case against suspect Oscar Delgado-Perez reportedly was dropped, and federal prosecutors charged him with immigration violations, to which he pleaded guilty, as well as conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise.

MS-13 is a violent gang with strong ties to El Salvador. In February, four adults and six juveniles were arrested in connection with the abduction and murder of a 15-year-old girl, whose badly decomposed body was found near an industrial park in Gaithersburg. ICE announced it had obtained detainers for all four adults.
