As Twitchy reported, The Hill’s coverage of Chelsea Clinton this year has been a little obsessive, recently culminating in an article suggesting that she just might be considering a run for office.
Despite Republicans and Democrats alike begging for The Hill and others to just stop, it looks like another media outlet is pitching in to give Clinton a credibility boost. Enter Variety, which in partnership with Lifetime is set to honor Clinton for, well, take a guess. Really, guess.
Her Twitter bio lists her as an advocate, author, and teacher, which is pretty humble, as it downplays her achievements as an NBC News special correspondent, her work with consulting firm McKinsey & Company, her somewhat mysterious position with Avenue Capital Group, and her recently announced position on Expedia’s board of directors, for starters.
Give up? Clinton will be honored at April’s The Power of Women: New York luncheon for her work with Alliance for a Healthier Generation, “which empowers kids to develop lifelong healthy habits.” She’ll also appear on an upcoming cover of Variety.

Chelsea CLINTON? For what?

Pay attention, would you? It’s probably like one of those Oscars they award an older actor who just starred in piece of garbage ’cause they feel guilty for passing them over for the films that should have won. Chelsea’s already done so much, but they had to settle on just one thing.
Speaking of the Academy Awards, also to be honored at the same event is actress Jessica Chastain. Honestly, we expected her to be honored for her role as a gun control advocate in “Miss Sloane,” which grossed $3.5 million worldwide, but instead she’s being honored for “her commitment to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading provider and advocate of high-quality, affordable health care for women, men, and young people.”

Wow, imagine how difficult it was to find a Planned Parenthood advocate in Hollywood to honor. Let’s all give a hearty golf clap for her bravery.
So, in short, those blobs of cells that aren’t recycled at the nearest Planned Parenthood can look to Chelsea Clinton to empower them with healthy habits, like eating iron-rich spinach pancakes. Dodging sniper fire on an empty stomach is no easy trick.
There are so many more "ordinary" women doing much more powerful things. Women who don't have the wealth & fame that makes it easy
