Mic drop: Candidate for DNC chair knows why Hillary lost, tells Dems to grow up, would be a terrible pick

We’ll confess we weren’t really feeling the exclamation point here, but quite a few people in attendance did seem honestly excited about some of the candidates to take over a chair of the Democratic Party.

Twitchy stands by our endorsement of Sally Boynton Brown, executive director of the Idaho Democratic Party, who famously said at a previous debate that, as a white woman, she believed her role would be “to shut other white people down when they want to interrupt” and provide other Democrats training on “how to be sensitive and how to shut their mouths if they are white.”

Boynton Brown wasn’t quite so outspoken Saturday, and Obama-era labor secretary Tom Perez again emerged as the most dynamic candidate by far. Still, if there was one solid mic drop, it belonged to Ray Buckley, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

Don’t tell anyone, but Buckley just might be the only Democrat yet to articulate why Hillary lost in 2016. Though he’s openly gay, he of all candidates for chair seems least likely to recommend steering more money into ads about, say, transgender bathroom access.

He does have some great points, and therefore, would be a terrible pick to run the Democrat party.
