Bernie Sanders creates mop-ready jobs as supporters break into tears during DNC speech

After delegates spent the entire day shouting his name as other speakers took the podium at the Democratic National Convention, Bernie Sanders finally emerged to close out the night. It was a good thing, too, as an ovation that lasted several minutes was followed by streams of tears that had staffers setting up Caution: Wet Floor signs.

Sanders’ speech was anything but remarkable; it was essentially his own campaign speech, repeated hundreds of times, but with the responsibility thrown to Hillary Clinton, whose name came up now and then. But this was the moment that the #FeelTheBern crowd had waited for.

These guys managed to hold it together, it seems.

Lessons learned from Day 1 of #DemsInPhilly: Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, and just about everyone else who spoke is more popular than the nominee, who doesn’t speak until Thursday. It’s going to be a long week.
