It’s no surprise that celebrity stoner Tommy Chong is a staunch supporter of Stone Age candidate Bernie Sanders, but according to Chong, his invitation to introduce Sanders at his rally in East Los Angeles Monday appeared and then quickly disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Today @BernieSanders invited me to speak at his rally and introduce him in Los Angeles.

I have done lots of campaigning for Bernie, his causes, and the messaging his campaign staff has either emailed or contacted me directly on.

This rally is in East Los Angeles, an area that I have lots of local fans and roots in.

Bernie Sanders and Tommy Chong together in East L.A.? That does sound like the perfect combination, especially considering this tweet from last week that almost surely should place Chong in the running for a cabinet position in the Sanders administration.
Be like Colorado. Legalize weed and use the extra money to help the homeless.

Unfortunately, something suddenly came up.
Unfortunately after months of support and endorsement videos, I have to report that @BernieSanders pulled away his invite to me.

That’s a downer.

It sounds like Chong actually had an inspirational message to deliver to the crowd, too, but at least Twitter can benefit.
