C-SPAN’s live coverage really is worth a look, if only to hear C-SPAN host Peter Slen and People’s J.D. Heyman announce the handful of red carpet arrivals they actually recognize (such as Instagram sensation the Fat Jew) and even critique a dress or two.
Not attending: ABC’s chief political analyst Matthew Dowd, who is instead preparing to appear as a panelist on “This Week” Sunday morning.

@matthewjdowd @ThisWeekABC WHCD, an event put on by journalists who persuade Gov't officials to attend, then trash it while covering it live
