Internal agency email prompts House committee to investigate 'plutonium incident' in Colorado

As Twitchy reported, EPA administrator Gina McCarthy was grilled by a congressional committee today regarding the Flint, Mich., water crisis. McCarthy reportedly told her questioners that the EPA was “strong armed and misled” to the point where the members of the agency “couldn’t do our jobs effectively.” And what about the EPA’s lightning-fast response to the agency’s release of more than a million gallons of toxic sludge into the Animas River in Colorado, turing it orange?

The EPA says that nature will do its part to restore the river. But what about Colorado’s “plutonium incident”?

NBC 4 Investigative Reporter Scott MacFarlane reports today that a U.S. House Committee is investigating another potential environmental disaster in Colorado, this one courtesy of a Commerce Department lab.

MacFarlane reported yesterday about the incident.

Oops. As we monitor Twitter for more on this internal agency email, would anyone else in the media like to look into this? Sounds important.
