It’s been over a year now since poor ratings have deprived us of “Piers ‘Musket’ Morgan’s Guns are Bad Hour” on CNN, but he’s continued to haunt Americans with his gun control tweets, which have proved just as tedious.
Upon his show’s cancellation, the New York Times noted that his audience “may have grown weary of his focus on gun control — a major topic of conversation on the show in the wake of several mass shootings in the United States. “Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing,” he said. “There is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”
At least Morgan can take solace in the fact that he believes he did something to affect gun violence in the United States through his constant sanctimonious scolding.
There’s no way of quantifying this, but I’d love to know what net effect Piers Morgan has had on the gun debate in the United States.
