Sometime after his 9-hour session before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, former Clinton White House adviser Sidney Blumenthal let it be known that he has no first-hand knowledge of Benghazi, and his personal email was hacked by criminals using a Russian server. Fox News’ Chad Pergram reports:
After #Benghazi deposition Blumenthal says personal emails hacked by criminal using Russian server. Has no first hand knowledge of Benghazi

#Benghazi Cmtr chair Gowdy says Blumenthal was the largest source of emails to Clinton. No decision on releasing deposition transcript.

#Benghazi chair Gowdy says Blumenthal “has no idea” whether info was credible. Simply forwarded info about Libya.

Politico made no mention of the alleged email hacking in its report, but it did report Blumenthal’s claim that he “merely copied and pasted memos from Tyler Drumheller, a former CIA officer who was working on a Libya business venture, and sent them to [Secretary of State Hillary] Clinton.”
Blumenthal didn't write any of the Libya intelligence he sent Clinton http://t.co/5ENVIFeTzC

Blumenthal says he did not write, know the source of, or verify any of the intelligence he passed on to Clinton, nor was he compensated for doing so. Sounds about right.
