NEW YORK (AP) – Union says Ray Rice wins appeal, suspension vacated immediately.

While most are just curious about which team would sign Rice at this point, National Journal’s Ron Fournier had a different take on the implications of watching Rice as well as Adrian Peterson take the field again?
No way around it now: Watching an #NFL game is tacit support for abuse of women and children.

By watching the #NFL (as I did yesterday), at some small level I am supporting the cowards who abuse and their greedy, lying enablers. Done

@ron_fournier Then the same can be said for films, tv, plays, etc etc.

@ron_fournier you'll need to boycott music, television and film, too.

@ron_fournier Umm, not really. To say that implies all NFL players and fans support abuse. I'm guessing the % is very small indeed.

@ron_fournier good thing that there has never been a journalist accused of domestic violence. I'd have to avoid all TV news, newspapers, etc

@ron_fournier ~ What? Time to put down the whiskey. You're drunk.

@redsteeze @ron_fournier In addition to enjoying Thanksgiving food and shopping, now I have to feel guilty for watching football too?
— Jason (@jasonelevation) November 28, 2014
@redsteeze I thought it was tacit support for drinking beer and eating pizza.
— SuberE ?? ?? ?? (@usEbre) November 28, 2014
@redsteeze And voting democrat is tacit support for vehicular manslaughter and inappropriate sexual relations with interns.
— NeoN: Automataster (@neontaster) November 28, 2014
@ron_fournier Thats ridiculous. With that logic, a vote for Hillary would constitute support for rape.
— P. Fiddy (@Ease_Private) November 28, 2014
@ron_fournier By this logic, anytime you patronize any business you are supporting the sins of every employee.

@ron_fournier U forgot: homophobia, Christian-bashing, illegal drug usage, machismo, dog killing & adultery. Welcome to the real world, ass.

@ron_fournier good Lord, that's stretching more than Odell Beckham Jr ever could for a football.
— Ollie Llama (@texasollie) November 28, 2014
@SusanGDailyKos Imagine if you put down your child labor manufactured phone to stop tweeting nonsense. Tacit support for child abuse.

@Tark31 @ron_fournier lolllll that is EASILY the stupidest thing I've heard this month
— Drew (@whatwoulddrewdo) November 28, 2014
The #NFL, the players' union and sponsors think we'll put up with anything for love of game. With me, they were almost right. No more.
