This 100-year-old woman should have brought one of the books that’s been “banned” in Florida and read from it to prove her point. Conservative parents have tried to read passages from books in their kids’ school library at school board meetings but have been shut down because they’re too explicit. The same news programs that call the removal of “Gender Queer” from school libraries book-banning won’t broadcast illustrations from the book because they’re too sexually explicit and would probably earn them an FCC fine.
Anyway, here’s grandma “laying it down” about Florida’s book banning and the Nazis.

Except books aren't banned. Some are just not allowed in schools. Public schools funded by ALL constituents. You can still buy and read the books, and parents who don't want their kids exposed to them are protected as well. Everyone wins, but you call it book banning

Any parent who wants their children to read these “banned” books can order a copy from Amazon and have it shipped to their door in two days. The people who complain about book bans apparently have no idea what “age appropriate” means.
