Glenn Greenwald will 'never stop talking about' the media's Hunter Biden coverup

We’re with Glenn Greenwald on this one; we’ll never stop talking about the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, either. And we’re not talking about the scandalous material on the laptop, but the mainstream media ignoring the story and social media censoring it, locking out the New York Post for weeks and refusing to let people link to the story or share it. Talk about election interference. But sure, Major Garrett, the 2020 election was “the greatest success of American democracy in history.”

Mediaite reported Friday that the former heads of MSNBC and CNN defended their coverup of the laptop story to CNN’s Michael Smerconish at the Un-Convention, an “exploration of political reforms to improve our election systems and policy ideas to govern a divided country.”

Alex Griffing reports that Jeff Zucker, when asked why CNN didn’t cover the story more, explained:

We did. We did look into it. But first of all, you know, with regard to the son of the candidate, you know, he was the son of the candidate. He wasn’t the candidate. The question that you’ll come back with is, well, but what role did the candidate play in his business dealings? You know, frankly, with ten days or two weeks to go, it was looked at by very credible organizations, including The Wall Street Journal —Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal — and they found nothing at that time.

Okay. So my point is, it’s easy to say we should have spent more time on that. Listen, do I think it’s legitimate to look at. Sure. Do I think that like it’s a legitimate criticism to say that in the ten days, 14 days prior to the election, you didn’t spend enough time on it? Not really.

“But, you know, in the 11 days prior to the election, it involves the son of a candidate, you know, who clearly has issues and troubles. You know, what is the extent to which you should do it?” Zucker added when pressed further. So he’s essentially saying it would have hurt his candidate so close to the election.

Glenn Greenwald says he’ll never stop talking about this journalistic scandal:

They all lied and all took cover under the “Russian disinformation” talking point, which they came up with and reinforced. Even DHS’s Minister of Truth, Nina Jankowicz, called it “a fairy tale about a laptop repair shop.” She never apologized, and neither will the media. Like Harry Reid said of lying about Mitt Romney’s taxes: “It worked, didn’t it?”
