Congress reaches agreement to provide another $12 billion in aid to Ukraine

RedState’s Brandon Morse had a good reaction to this news: Remember when Elon Musk was going to buy Twitter for $44 billion, and half of the internet said he could use that money to cure hunger worldwide? We’re not seeing as many Ukrainian flags in people’s Twitter handles as we used to, but Ukraine is still on the mind of those in Congress, who’ve reached an agreement to send another $12 billion to aid Ukraine as it battles Russia’s “minor incursion.”

We’re still glad that Ukraine is attracting Hollywood celebrities and Vogue photographers instead of the U.S military, whose members have been advised to apply for food stamps in the wake of crippling inflation.

Nice try.

Someone asked how much we’ve sent to Ukraine already, and we’ve honestly lost track. Back in May, the Senate voted to send $40 billion in aid. There was a measly $3 billion sent in August.

We’re still rooting for Ukraine, but is anybody keeping track of where all of this aid is going? We’re sending hardware as well. And some people even want to “buy back” Americans’ AR-15s and send them to Ukraine, where it’s good for citizens to be armed.
