We haven’t talked about it much here, but The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh has a fantastic new documentary out called, “What Is a Woman.” Walsh crosses the globe to get a definitive answer. Rolling Stone has a hit piece out on the documentary Saturday:
The Daily Wire has bought ads on major social media platforms to promote their right-wing transphobic doc — even though it seems to violate TikTok and Meta’s policies against hate speech. https://t.co/y1yrVyqQfV

“Seems to?” How so? Moises Mendez II writes:
For years, right-wing commentator, Daily Wire host, and all-around shitty provocateur Matt Walsh has used his platform to go after trans people. So it’s not surprising that this essentialist ideology has become the centerpiece of his new documentary, What Is a Woman? The film, which premiered on the Daily Wire’s website earlier this month, faced controversy leading up to its release. Now, the Daily Wire has bought ads on major social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, to promote the film — and so far, even though the documentary seems to violate TikTok and Meta’s policies against hate speech. Though the platforms prohibit dehumanizing, mocking, and/or hateful speech about transgender people, the ads have been allowed to stay.
So how was the movie?
Today @RollingStone ran a hit piece about What Is A Woman, calling it transphobic propaganda. The funny thing is that we sent screeners to the writer of the piece, @MoisesFenty, and we can see that he watched zero percent of the film before arriving at this conclusion. pic.twitter.com/3Sh9dePPUz

The editor of the piece, @elisabethgp, did a little better by watching a whole entire 11 percent before approving and publishing an article labeling the film “hateful” and “dehumanizing.” pic.twitter.com/cGqyvc38ke

I’d like Rolling Stone to explain how they arrived at these damning conclusions despite not watching the movie. Do they make a habit of reviewing movies without watching them? How many other reviews were written this way? Or is mine the first? If so, why?

Update: Moises locked down his account within three minutes of being exposed as a hack propagandist pic.twitter.com/XxrgV8lQfn

In fairness, Emily is swamped with all the news so she’s not able to inform herself about a subject before publishing an article about it https://t.co/g7fQcLSzO2

He watched zero percent of the movie.

It does not please them to have their narrative questioned with logic, reason or facts. Besides, if they watch the film, they lose the chance to medal in the jumping competition of the Conclusion Olympics

I honestly didn't see any "transphobia" in the film. No transpersons were harmed in the making, right? The non-transpeople seemed to get upset sometimes but that's about it.
Maybe they were afraid of what that African tribe had to say?

But if he actually watched it, then he’d have to respond to the points made rather than just shouting it down as transphobia and possibly admit some of the things said were, *gasp,* accurate!

This is false. @RollingStone journalists viewed the film together as mentioned in the article.

They seem more concerned that Facebook and TikTok are allowing ads promoting the movie. Take it up with them.
