At first, we weren’t sure if this was real, but it comes directly from New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s Twitter feed. The state is rolling out its “Shot and a Beer” program, offering a free beer to those 21 and older who get the coronavirus vaccine in May.
NEW: We’re launching our “Shot and a Beer” program to encourage eligible New Jerseyans ages 21+ to get vaccinated.

Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin doesn’t want New Jersey to corner the market on the idea.
Huge milestone for what has to be the first half-baked idea to become public policy. Wisconsin needs to step up. We cannot, under any circumstances, let New Jersey corner the beer and a shot market.
