Whenever we see a tweet like this one from the ACLU, we feel like nitpicking a bit: trans students aren’t banned from participating in school sports. A biological male is welcome to join a team with other biological males, and so on.
Today the NCAA confirmed it will pull events from states with bills banning trans students from participating in school sports.
State lawmakers take note: discriminating against trans youth is wrong, against the law, and costly.
— ACLU (@ACLU) April 12, 2021
You’d think Georgia would have simply closed down by now seeing as everyone first pulled their association with the state for its heartbeat bill, and then for its election law (which is more lenient than other states). Now states trying to protect girls’ sports are being targeted.
This will lead to the end of women’s sports. Good job.

So, standing up for women's sports is to be punished financially then?
— Slim Wiggy (@SlimWiggy) April 12, 2021
This will backfire spectacularly. Can't wait.

Say good-bye to women's sports in 3… 2… 1….

Small price to pay. Keep biological men and boys out of women’s sports!

“Banning trans students from participating in school sports”?
— Girls To The Front (@obsolete__units) April 12, 2021
Such a bizarrely blatant lie when the facts are at everyone's fingertips. Trans students are not being banned from school sports, they're being told they must compete in the correct category. They're being reminded of the rules that apply to everyone.

They are not banned. They just participate according to their biology. You know, science.
— RepublicanDore (@RepublicanDore) April 12, 2021
I don’t think anyone is banning them from sports. They’re requiring them to compete against their own sex.
— Denarius (@T23983116) April 12, 2021
Transgender youth are never prohibited from participating in sports.
But they are rightly prohibited from pretending that they are the opposite sex and thereby gaining an unfair advantage.
— Jonathan Smith (@Archimusik) April 12, 2021
The wording here seems problematic as those students are not banned from sports. At least be honest.
— Guy_Who_Likes_Politics (@COSDawg85) April 13, 2021
There are exactly ZERO bills banning trans students from participating in school sports. Trans students are welcome to compete with their sex class.
Allowing males to compete against females discriminates against women.
— Kathryn Wright (@Kathryn53627949) April 12, 2021
Again being disingenuous. No one is stopping trans students from participating in sports, only that they do so in the category that aligns with their sex.
— fuzzybear (@Ffuzzyface) April 12, 2021
Don’t think there are ANY bills banning trans students from sports. Just bills that protect girls in women’s sports. Allowing males to compete against girls/women is wrong, unfair and cheating.
— Antonella ?????? (@_kitsunedesign) April 12, 2021
No states are banning trans students from school sports though. Some are rightly banning male athletes from unfairly competing in female categories. That's not discrimination, it's just fairness.
— Mia (@_CryMiaRiver) April 12, 2021
A lie. All students can compete in their sex class.
— Mark (@Mark14743575) April 12, 2021
Amazes me how antifeminist you have become.
— Far❌erP (@pmwilker) April 12, 2021
This is great for girls who like to play sports against people who are much bigger and stronger than they are. ??
— Jim Lingk (@jim_lingk) April 12, 2021
Im confused as to why anyone thinks biological males (at birth) being allowed to compete in women’s league will do anything other then hurt women. Trans women will generally run over the competition in that case.
— Pete (@seansuckaditka) April 12, 2021
I'm sure women everywhere are super stoked.
— Jason (@Jason61344883) April 12, 2021
How much do you bastards hate women?
— Sister Augustine ? (@AugustineSister) April 12, 2021
I can't wait for the first biological male to play women's collegiate basketball, it's gonna be epic.

The NCAA loves money more than wokeness. This will not stand. https://t.co/487QbpJuww

Sounds like a great opportunity for sensible institutions to band together and create an NCAA alternative.
— David Shane (@david_shane) April 12, 2021
There is nothing to prevent a group from forming that could take the place of the NCAA in those states.
— LeRoiEstMort (@Le_Roi_Est_Mort) April 12, 2021
ACLU and @NCAA take note…..the NCAA can’t survive without the revenue that will come from all the states that do the right thing!
— GetReal_ComeOnMan (@come_on_be_real) April 12, 2021
How about we add a division in each sporting event that is open to all but while also having biological male and female leagues. Is that something people can get behind as a compromise?
— Joshua Bibby (@bibbs206) April 12, 2021
With 32 states currently considering the law and every female athlete serious about their career moving to one of those states for college or varsity I think you'll find people voting with their feet and the @ACLU irrelevant which would be a shame.
— sam dixon (@SamDixonSA) April 12, 2021
Which will be the last state standing that does everything right according to the progressives?
