We hope Slate doesn’t think that they’re on to some exclusive scoop here by claiming the Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court is a matter of life and death — as was the net neutrality rollback, the GOP tax cuts, and the country’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accords. When a woman says explicitly in an ad that a vote for Kavanaugh is a vote to kill her, you know what territory you’re in rhetorically.
But Slate’s gonna Slate:
For women, Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing isn’t a sporting event. It’s a matter of life and death: https://t.co/SUSR6JQe01 pic.twitter.com/UaKpXbScgy

Actually, it's not.

It's really not, though. https://t.co/wLJsQKNowl

She is clearly very opposed to hanging her shirts up.

This kind of garbage headline is the outcome of having a safe little bubble-wrapped upbringing.

Does someone have to explain how the Supreme Court works to you?
— Mortis (@WitchyDruss) September 6, 2018
You all do know SC Justices can’t create rulings out of thin air? A case has to come to them? Kavanaugh won’t have the power to decimate the Bill of Rights.

No, it’s not a sporting event … people at sporting events aren’t nearly as loud and obnoxious, even after several beers.

Where have we heard this "people are going to die!" drivel before? Not surprisingly, no one has died.
— Amico di una tigre (@spacemanspiff76) September 6, 2018
Just like everything else is a matter of life and death. Tax cuts, net neutrality, the election, etc. I haven’t seen a spike in bodies in the streets yet.
— Tom Burkart ❗️ (@tomburkart) September 6, 2018
We’ve all died already, net neutrality, tax bill, Gorsuch…
— Susan Ketner (@dazzee) September 6, 2018
Don't forget the opt-out of the Paris Accord.
We've all died 10 times since the evil Drumpf stole the election by daring to garner more electoral votes than Her Highness.
— Duke Selden (@DukeSelden) September 6, 2018
Oh yay, I forgot that one. Thanks for the reminder.
— Susan Ketner (@dazzee) September 6, 2018
Hey, that death was a particularly painful one. I've still got scars from my Paris Accord death.
— Duke Selden (@DukeSelden) September 6, 2018
I’m already sold on Kavanaugh. you don’t need to keep selling me. I’m on board
— Prune Tracy (@PruneHughes) September 6, 2018
This is actually helping Kavamaugh's case. These protest actually makes the protesters look deranged.

No one is buying the verbal diarrhea you're spewing. Every time one of you lunatics sends out a tweet, write an op-ed, or gets hauled out of a hearing kicking and screaming like a 4 year old another person becomes a Trump voter. So thanks. Keep up the good work.

Nah. As a woman, I'm pretty sure all my rights — and I — will survive just fine.
