Well, then: Trump throws cold water on Rep. Steve Scalise's call for concealed carry reciprocity

President Trump met with a number of Republican and Democratic members of Congress at the White House Wednesday to address school shootings after the Parkland, Fla., massacre, and as Twitchy reported, Trump managed to say some things that really must have pleased Democrats in the meeting. “Take the guns first, go through due process second?” Really?

As if that weren’t enough to send up red flags for conservatives, Trump also told Rep. Steve Scalise that carried conceal across state lines would never get passed if added to whatever gun control bill they’re currently hashing out.

What?

Keep in mind, though, that Trump said “not in this bill,” not “never” — not that we’d prefer very much that it be considered as part of this bill.

But seriously, check out the body language on gun-grabber Dianne Feinstein at the beginning of this clip, before Scalise gets to raise his point. At least Trump made some Democrats very happy today.
