Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton earned himself a Twitter Moment Wednesday after saying it was “funny” to hear a question about his receivers’ routes coming from a “female.”

Anti-racism strategist and possible parody account mastermind Tariq Nasheed is upset, however, that some people are taking all of the fake outrage of Newton’s comment seriously, when really it’s just a ruse to deflect from the NFL’s blackballing of Colin Kaepernick.
