The last official title in the ”Star Wars” saga, ”The Rise Of Skywalker” is set to be released on December 20. Walt Disney Studios is already beginning to ramp up the promotional heat with numerous members of the cast and crew flooding interview shows this week.
Director J.J. Abrams was one, sitting in for an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, on Disney-owned ABC Network. Abrams spoke at length about a number of movie details, and then shed light on a behind-the-scenes story involving a script falling into the wrong hands.

While Abrams may have thought he was revealing an interesting ”making of” anecdote he also could have given confirmation to rumors swirling around the movie for the past month.
While rumored script leaks are always present with these titles a newer one in recent weeks may have been given credence with Abrams’ story here.

To the person who stole the #StarWarsTheRiseOfSkywalker Wars script, we have only one thing to say to you:
How does Baby Yoda fit into this? https://t.co/snS1sg1jkx

Before everyone gets into a froth though, it is not likely the entire script had been exposed. Not only do studios clamp down on script availability to prevent this kind of accident on major projects, they even shield the cast from knowledge. Usually, this is done to keep plot details a secret before release. Often shooting multiple endings so the cast is not even sure which is the actual closing.
At Entertainment Weekly they detailed part of the strategy.
This basically means the likelihood of the script — at least a full version — being out in public is remote. Then why would the director make such a claim? It’s that promotional heat we mentioned.
