Following the announcement of the Trump indictment today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took to Twitter to announce that “Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda”:

Well now, that should shake things up a bit in the media and grifter fueled “Trump vs DeSantis” rivalry. The circumstances are indeed questionable, and DeSantis is taking a stand against Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s political witch hunt.
The usual suspects are weighing in:
Empty, but dangerous, posturing. Trump is likely to surrender to the DA, but even if he doesn’t, DeSantis doesn’t have the power to block extradition. The Constitution and federal statutes compel it.
