A Left vs. Left family dispute boiled over to Twitter today, with Code Pink tweeting a photo of co-founder Medea Benjamin desperately lobbying far-left Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., to abandon his support for attacking Syria.
This isn’t just a normal lobbying session, folks. It’s a prime example of a jilted peacenik realizing that a hard-left congressman she once loved is now philandering with aircraft carriers and cruise missiles. The peace movement once thought that congressional progressives only had eyes for them, but now they’re being replaced by the younger, flashier concept of “humanitarian intervention.”

@codepink Thank you 4 all ur hard work. It's become a challenge with him… his district is totally anti-war but he's pro-military for $

@codepink A lot of Democrats have this "blind allegiance" towards this Pres. Whatever he does, they endorse. Dem Party needs a soul searching

Then again, the Code Pink activists may not be the only ones feeling jilted tonight. We’re wondering how freshman Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, will react when he realizes that our pink-shirted friends couldn’t even remember his name.

Oh well, he’s just a nameless rebound guy anyway. Right, Medea?
